Sustainability
At Botanica, sustainable practices are integrated into all processes. In all aspects, we ask ourselves if we can act more ecologically, fairly, or gently. The basis of our sustainable approach is our sustainability certification CSE (Certified Sustainable Enterprise). The ecological, economic, and social goals are aligned with each other.

Ecological

Botanica sources sustainable electricity and pays attention to energy efficiency when making new purchases. Waste is preferably recycled. At least 75% of the products are purely natural. Paper products made from recycled materials are preferred.

Economic

Botanica invests in building knowledge and technologies to generate moderate and continuous growth. Environmentally friendly technologies and sustainable resources are preferred in production and development processes. Customers and suppliers are valued as important partners, and close collaboration forms the successful basis.

Social

Botanica is flexible in responding to individual needs of employees, such as in scheduling working hours, as far as possible. There is a daily paid break, juice, fruit, etc. are provided, and there is an annual team event. Instead of customer gifts, Botanica donates to charity organizations. Botanica supports training and further education and promotes an open and tolerant corporate culture.

Certificate for reducing greenhouse gas emissions

CO2

Since the beginning of 2022, Botanica has voluntarily sourced heating gas from 100 % bio gas, so that together with sustainable electricity, carbon neutrality of scope 1 & 2 emissions of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol is achieved without compensation. Gas is only used to support heat pumps. We make a climate protection contribution for the CO2 emissions of the commuting of all employees as well as business trips.
